MY STORY

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Born and raised in the Sierra Nevada and Appalachian Mountain ranges, I grew up skiing and became a biking and kayaking enthusiast. After finishing my undergraduate studies in Integrative Arts at Penn State University, I moved to New York and began my career in the film and television industry as a graphic and scenic artist. Experiencing the city's arts and culture and exploring the state's trails and waterways are my favorite things to do in New York.

An interest in ethnography eventually led me to the graduate program in Folklore and Folklife at the University of Pennsylvania, where I learned the principles of fieldwork and the importance of story. Folklore is tradition and story artistically communicated from person to person. Folklore is timeless because people remember a great story. They also remember great design. I design memorable stories using multiple forms of media, including text, photos, video, animation and graphics.

My unique education in folklore studies, graphic design and documentary filmmaking inspires my passion for short-form multimedia storytelling. From micro-documentaries to animated explainer videos, I have produced visual stories for such organizations as the VA, Workman Publishing and Eileen Fisher, Inc. I would love to partner with you to create vivid multimedia content that tells the unforgettable story of you, your organization or your brand.
